AnnexMed has openings across Critical Care, Emergency Department professional and facility coding, E/M inpatient and outpatient coding, OBGYN, Orthopaedics, Cardiology and Colorectal specialties. Certification is mandatory. Candidates should have hands-on coding or auditing experience and be able to work accurately with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers and specialty-specific guidelines.
Main Duties in This Role
- Review clinical documentation and identify reportable diagnoses and procedures.
- Assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes.
- Apply modifiers and specialty-specific coding guidelines.
- Code or audit E/M, surgery, critical-care and other assigned records.
- Identify missing documentation and initiate appropriate clarification.
- Maintain productivity, accuracy and turnaround-time standards.
- Follow payer, CMS, AMA, HIPAA and client requirements.
- Participate in quality audits and continuous coding education.
Who Can Apply
Certified medical coders with one to six years of relevant experience can apply. Open requirements include Critical Care/ED Pro/Facility coding, E/M OP or IP coding, OBGYN and Orthopaedic auditing, Cardiology E/M and Colorectal Surgery/E/M coding.
